Here is a picture of me with everything that we bought, and the dinner that I made :) I included my Viking Drinking Horn in the picture. Was a gift for my 21st birthday! (The official drinking age here in the US! ;))
here is a picture of Swedish Ikea brand Hazel Nut chocolate (as well as milk and dark). I just fell IN LOVE with it!! I’ll be going back to Ikea soon to buy as much as I can! One thing I forgot to mention is how CHEAP Ikea is!!! These large chocolate bars only cost 99 cents!!I would definitely recommend everyone to try some if they have an Ikea anywhere near them! (The nearest one to me is a 45 minute drive, but it’s well worth it!) The interior decorating in the store of all of the bedroom and kitchens is too cute! Maybe I’ll snap a few pictures next time I go and post them. :)
Wanted to share with you all a meal I made a month ago or so. Swedish meatballs, asparagus, lingonberrry jam and mashed potatoes. All thanks to my first ever Ikea trip! (I know this is a Norway blog, but let’s just make a quick exception!! ;)) Mom went out of town so I had a few friends over for dinner and drinks. We bought Lingonberry concentrate juice, and came up with a simple mixed drink with vodka!! ;)
The next morning I discovered that Lingon Saft (Lingonberry Jam from Ikea) is delicious when substituted for jelly on a peanut butter and lingonberry jam sandwich! <33 Now THATS something I bet no Norwegian would think to do!!
So much to point out in this video. But I think instead I will let you just enjoy :) any questions, just ask!

I hope that you don’t mind, I’ll probably be reblogging a lot of your posts Csandvik! :) Maybe we can partner up?? So excited for your new Norway blog and glad that I could provide some inspiration!!! Norway is truly beautiful… :)
want to go there so bad!
This is Ålesund i Møre og Romsdal County. on 23 Januari 1904 there was a fire, destroying the city and its wooden houses and buildings. The town was rebuilt in this Art Noveau style and is a popular tourist destination due to its history and its proximity to Geiranger Fjord. :) I’d love to visit here in the summertime!

Bright auroras seem to spread like wings over the mountains outside of Tromsø, Norway, on January 22.

I would LOVE to share this video with you :) Please click the link and find the headlining picture at the top of the page with the arrow (play button) in the center. :) The video tells the story of a young man who dropped everything and moved to Norway.
If only I had enough money in my savings to do the same! ;) This short clip really resonates with me because he uses the term “dream world”…which is what I almost named this blog. To me, Norway is a dream world… a place that’s so far from my current reality and rivaled in beauty only by my dreams… a place that must be seen to be believed <3 Jeg drømmer om Norge. I dream of Norway, for my heart lives in the place where mountains meet the sea and the sky goes on forever… <3
Borgund was built sometime between 1180 and 1250 CE with later additions and restorations. Several runic inscriptions are found on the walls of the church. One reads: Tor wrote these runes in the evening at the St. Olav’s Mass.

As we approach solar max, be prepared to witness wildly dancing auroras teasing of what the peak of the sun cycle will bring us next season.
Gorgeous time lapse of the Northern Lights! <3
